For Kaleb's 5th birthday I decided I wanted to do something a little different, but full of fun. So, I thought a bug birthday at the Fountain Creek Nature Center was a perfect fit for my curious and adventurous little boy. It turned out to be "the best birthday ever" according to Kaleb. It was unlike any birthday party I have ever been to. It started out with a show and tell of various bugs and great information followed by a nature hike where we got to use nets to catch bugs. Afterwards we opened presents and snacked on "bug" themed food and cupcakes. Everyone seemed to have a great time and the staff was so friendly.
These were the bug jar favors Kaleb handed out to all of
his friends...complete with magnify glass and pet bug ;)
