Easter Happenings 2013...

Easter is always a fun time to celebrate with baskets, eggs, the Easter Bunny, and especially remembering the true meaning of the season, the Resurrection. March was full of fun things for us...Easter egg hunts, family get togethers, coloring Easter eggs {I did take pictures of this but can't seem to find them anywhere lol}, the Easter Bunny made a visit, cousin sleepovers, and lots and lots of discussion of why Christ died on the cross for us. Kaleb really finds this discussion interesting, but my Kaden is just now getting to understand it a little more. As the years go on I hope that my boys continue to grasp the sacrifices that were made for us in a more deeper and meaningful way as the grow.

Check out all the fun we had in March celebrating Easter...

Kaleb and Grayson {his cousin} holding hands, getting ready for an egg hunt

It was craziness all the little kids rushing to find eggs and get
the most they could get in their colorful buckets and baskets :)

All the boys got their faces painted

Naturally Kaleb wanted to be the same thing as his cousin Grayson {a tiger}

My little guy wanted to be the same but a little different..a leopard

I am so glad that boys have so much fun with their cousins. I had great relationships with my cousins growing up and I have the fondest of memories spending time with them and having a ball.

The day before Easter my nephew Grayson spent the night {the boys' first sleepover}

The boys each had their very own mini pot that they planted "magic" jelly beans in

I told them something special would happen to them and we had to wait until Easter morning

Had to make sure we watered them too!

We had a fun movie night complete with popcorn and M&Ms

We set out some carrots and celery and milk as a special treat for the
Easter Bunny when he came to visit and drop off goodies in the boys' baskets

Before I put the boys to bed we read a book that talked about why we
celebrate Easter and another fun one called The Night Before Easter

Lots of fun stuff!

A message from the Easter Bunny written on the new easel that he brought Kaleb and Kaden: "Happy Easter! Hope you like your baskets. Thanks for the snack! Mr. Bunny"

The Easter Bunny left a trail from the tops of the stairs all the way down to where the boys' baskets were. In the morning when they woke up, they had to follow the trails of eggs to their baskets!

Oh and overnight the boys' "magic" jelly beans grew into lollipops!

And the Easter Bunny must've enjoyed his healthy snack we left for him

The boys woke up and were so excited about the egg trail and the treats in their baskets

Over a special cinnamon roll breakfast we prayed for the sacrifices Jesus made for
us and enjoyed a wonderful and sweet breakfast together. I had high hopes of attending church Easter morning, but 3 boys 5 and under I had a very busy morning and couldn't get quite going fast enough :).

We had a wonderful lunch put on by my cousin Brian and his wife Krystal at their new home. We had a delicious meal and were surrounded by our beautiful family. What more could you ask for? We also got to enjoy one last egg hunt to finish off our Easter season just right!

Woah! Ӏ'm really loving the template/theme of this website. It's ѕimρle, yet effеctiѵe.
А lot of tіmes it's challenging to get that "perfect balance" between usability and visual appearance. I must say you've
done a amazіng job with this. Additionallу,
the blog loadѕ extremely faѕt for me on Fiгеfοx.
