Life...

Life is busy and blessed! 

Here I am at midnight just finishing a 3 hour long editing session and you would think that my head would hit the pillow at warp speed. Yet I find myself still up, thoughts running, or racing rather, through my head, or maybe it is the smooth sound of Ella Fitzgerald that I have been pleasuring my ears with that is keeping me up too. Whatever it is I am resisting the urge to go cuddle up in my comfy king size bed and at least get a few winks in before my day starts over again.

We got Kaden a new bunk bed this weekend and he loves it. So does Kaleb! They have been sleeping together in the same room since Sunday. I considered moving them into one room and sharing a room, but I know I like my own space and I want them to feel like they have their own space too that they can escape to from time to time. Our bargaining chip in getting the bunk bed is telling Kaden that he needs to start going pee pee on the potty if he wants to keep his new bed. This kid is STUBBORN when it comes to potty training, that is all I can say about that!

The boys are busy with school. Kaleb is prepping for kindergarten in the Fall, which baffles my mind in about a hundred different ways. Wasn't he just born yesterday? Well it sure feels that way. Kaleb seems to really enjoy school and is my little social butterfly. I think he will do well in a new school next year. Kaden has days where he protests going to school even though he only goes two days a week. He is still little though so it makes sense that he would want to hang out with me.  

They are both still doing gymnastics once a week and Kaleb is really getting good. He almost has his backhand spring down unassisted. He tries hard to get better each week and you can tell he really enjoys its. Kaden enjoys it too, but he just kind of rolls around the mats and hops along the trampoline. I know he is having a good time though and that is what is important!

We have been having a mild Winter for the most part. Today was the first major snowfall we got where we live, so we spent the day inside playing and spend time together...my favorite part of the day was getting to cuddle with my boys. I am a cuddler and so is Kaden, Kaleb not so much but I force him too...sometimes. When Kyle is home since it has been so nice lately we make sure to get outside. We have been enjoying the zoo and hiking. Kaleb really took a liking to hiking. I am sure we will be doing a lot of that this Summer. 

Kyle has been working a lot this month and so have I. I am starting to get more and more business, which is a blessing because it allows me to be with the boys a lot and still help provide for our family. Kyle and I will be taking a quick trip to Vegas in February, which we are pumped about (as long as we can get on a plane to take us there). In March we will be married 5 years and are trying to plan a tropical getaway some time this year to celebrate. We are also talking about taking some two stepping lessons. It is something we really enjoy doing together and want to learn to get better at doing it!
